Sub-out Bass Level on PowerNode 2
AnsweredHello, all. I just purchased a refurb PowerNode 2. I was able to get it set up, with no issues. However, I am not happy with the bass output. My previous setup was a Sonos Amp feeding 2 Klipsch tower speakers. The Amp has a sub out connection and this feeds an old Onkyo powered sub. The bass sounded great.
I bought the PowerNode because I wanted support for the higher resolution Flac files that I own. With the same exact speaker setup, the bass is lacking. The sub feature is enabled in the app. I tried different crossover points on the app, as well. Taking the sub out sounds no different than having it enabled. I even have the level on the bass all the way up. No change. I had to actually put my hand on the woofer to see if the sub was even on. That is not good.
My question is, does the PowerNode 2i have a better/higher sub level than the PowerNode 2? I don't mind paying more fore the 2i, but not if the results will be the same. Thanks,

Hello Ele,
The POWERNODE 2 and POWERNODE 2i would have the same sub output level.

Thank you for your reply, Sam. That is unfortunate.

Hi Ele. I suspect there is a problem with your connection to the sub. My Powernode 2i feeds my powered sub just fine.
