Node 2i Coax and Optical only output in one channel
AnsweredI got a Node 2i a few days ago and it works great and puts out strong clear sound using the analogue outs. For kicks, I thought I'd also try the digital outs to the DAC inside my Onkyo A-9010 integrated amplifier. To my dismay, both coax out and optical out only gives me sound through one channel, through the left speaker of my system. I've tried multiple known good cables but the result is the same.
Is there a setting I don't know about so that the digital outputs will work in 2 channels? Or does this indicate another issue?
Thanks in advance!!

Hello,
No settings would be required on the NODE to output via Digital in stereo. It doesn't look like your amp has balance sliders, but would you be able to test another digital output device to your Onkyo to check if digital audio comes out of both ends?
Also, does this issue surface over the headphone port?

Hello Sam,
Sorry for the delay, but I had to borrow a friend's external DAC to bypass both the one in my amp and the one in the Node.
The issue seems to be the digital input section of my amplifier, not the Node. Thankfully, I'm getting a new amp and external DAC soon.
Thanks for your help!
