Just as Bjørn says. You can also browse through your music via the Library > Folders subsection to view individual folders.

Bjorn....tried that, but even though I have albums in ALAC (.m4a) format, they still only show up as "CDs", not "high resolution".

So, how do albums get into either the "high resolution" or "MQA" categories when you index your music collection?

Sam.....yes, that works but CLUNKY, not very elegant!

Dave, ALAC (16-bit) is not "HI-RES" it's CD quality.

Bjorn.....ok on that. However, I'm still looking for an elegant way in BluOS app to switch between my ALAC and MP3 collections???

    Hi Dave,

    I (personally) don't see any need to sort "your way", but if I had I would have done it in a way like this (I'm a Windows user);

    Windows Explorer and mp3tag.
Search/find all mp3's in foobar or Windows Explorer, "drag and drop" to mp3tag.

Append "extra info" to "Album" i.e. "Back In Black {mp3}" by making a custom action.
(Depending on library size, it would only take a "few" minutes to tag all your albums.)

You could then use the "search" function in BlueOS to find/list all.

Eventually, using the "Genre" tag would probably be the best solution.

Hi Bjorn, many thanks and follow what you say. I'm also a Windows and mp3tag user!

I was really probing to see if I was missing a trick in BluOS apps.....but it seems I'm not!

To me, the apps are relatively unsophisticated, so I have been a little frustrated with their design, but hey-ho.....

I'm now waiting to see if there are any clues forthcoming as to why the HDMI connection to my Philips TV is flaky! (Subject of separate posting.....)

I would also like to see the option to create different sections. There's a categorization in my collection, where some folders contain lower quality music. From a user perspective, some music I sit down for and listen, while other (the lower quality) I play during cooking or whatever. With different Sections I can play and choose "my way" without any hassle.

The above made suggestion, though viable, are cumbersume and not user friendly.

I agree entirely. I would like to have separate libraries for mainstream music and classical (for example). Having all content bundled into one library is messy. That's why most people sort their music into separate folders in the first place!
