Like most FIle Sharing products as of 2020, BluOS has abandoned SMB 1.0 and support a minimum of 2.1. It will support 3.0.

We have zero plans of supporting DLNA as it does not support multiroom synchronisation or multistream playback reliably.

Well, it's two years later now, and here's what my Synology DS418 running DiskStationManager 7.1.1 shows me:

.79 is my Bluesound Node (2021), and "diablo" is my Synology NAS's name.

    What gives?

I've just updated an older QNAP NAS. The update removed support for SMB v1. From the update notes:

"- To prevent malware and ransomware from exploiting SMB v1 vulnerabilities, QTS now automatically sets the lowest SMB version to SMB v2 if your lowest SMB version is SMB v1 before this firmware update."

Now, of course, my NAD M10 (v1) is unable to reach the required share on the NAS, with error message similar to the screenshot posted by Andrei Dascalu (now, three months ago). All was fine until the update.

Just chiming in here to bump the posting in case others are experiencing the issue. I'm going to try to revert my NAS to the previous version. Not ideal.

    Hi Jay

Please select Help, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so our Support Crew can review the log file and help you troubleshoot your share.

Thanks for the quick response, Tony. I made minor changes to settings on the server based on a support article found on this site. By itself that didn't help. Then I removed the share path in the Bluesound app (Mac OS) and then added it back. Everything's working fine now.
