Powernode 2i-HDMI Toslink/Coax to HDMI-eARC adapter needed
For those with older generation TVs with incompatible HDMI-ARC versions or with only Toslink/Coax digital audio outputs, it would be useful to have a Toslink/Coax to HDMI-eARC adapter for the Powernode 2i-HDMI, similar to the Sonos product. The Sonos product doesn't appear to work with the Powernode. Maybe Bluesound could produce one?

Hi Dave, the Powernode 2i has two optical inputs. Why not use one of these to link any TV via optical (toslink) cable to the Powernode? This is how any most TVs have supported digital audio out for years, long before HDMI ARC.

Hi mxr, simply because I have other uses for the two optical inputs.
Everyone at Bluesound is so defensive about the HDMI ARC input of the Powernode that I wonder why they ever bothered implementing it in the first place. It would have made more sense just to stick a third optical input on the box and explain how basic control can mostly be managed via the IR Learning in BluOS.
Trying to talk with Bluesound about Powernode HDMI performance has been like banging ones head against a brick wall !
