Home Theatre rear speaker disconnecting
AnsweredI have Powernode 2i-HDMI plus front speakers and Pulse Flex left and right rear speakers in my Home Theatre setup. I have noticed that periodically, the right rear Pulse Flex loses its audio signal from the Powernode while a Dolby 5.1 movie is playing. On checking afterwards, I find that the Pulse Flex is still connected to the network and will still work as a player on its own. Does anyone know of any reason why a Home Theatre group rear speaker might simply lose its rear channel connection to the Powernode which is playing the 5.1 channels?

Hi Dave
Two suggestions - If it fell out of the Group and appears separately - your entire system lost power and rebooted. The FLEX in question finished rebooting before the POWERNODE - simply reboot the FLEX and it should correct itself.
OR
If it is still part of the group but not playing, then it is not receiving packets timely. Check it's wireless signal strength using our network troubleshooting tips at www.bluesound.com/network101

Hi Tony,
Many thanks for your suggestions.
What I have done already a couple of days ago is a factory reset of the Flex and a fresh reconfiguration of my theatre group.
Will now monitor to see if the problem repeats.
By the way, I recently posed another question about theatre groups…..what is the effect of the “speaker distance” settings config page, as there is a separate config page anyway for sound level settings?
Many thanks.
