Can Node 2i be externally clocked?

Could I attach a (high quality) master clock to the Node 2i ? 

Or could one be added after the node? (on the way to my DAC) 

If the Node was in a digital signal chain that had external wordclock - could (in theory) the sound get improved?

  No, you cannot attach an external clock.

  We are extremely happy with our audio clock output.
