Node 2i optical out seems to be 192k 24bit from Amazon Music HD
AnsweredI am not complaining! I am aware that Amazon Music HD generates 192k 24bit as its default output. (I can feed my DAC 192/24 from my Mac via USB)
But is the 192k 24 bit that my DAC detects from the Node 2i optical out correct or even possible out of the Node 2i ? (isn't it capped @ 96k?)
(With Tidal my DAC toggles between 88.2k and 96k sample rates, never 192k)
Many thanks and congrats on a great product!

Some early DAC companies did not support 24/192 via optical because of concerns that cheap optical cables could not support them. Technology has come a long way since in cable manufacturing. That being said, Bluesound has always supported 24/192 playback via optical out dating back to the original release of the first Bluesound NODE (N100) back in late 2012.
