I'm a bit confused in MQA process.

When I play MQA Tidal to bluesound node2i and connect to external dac which not MQA via coaxial cable.

Do I get the MQA sound quality which means node2i decode MQA and send it to non-MQA DAC?

Or I just get CD quality instead?

  Hello Theeradet, 

  By default (with the Settings > Player > Audio > MQA External DAC set to Off), when you run a coax cable from the NODE to your non-MQA DAC, the NODE will do the initial MQA unfold and will pass the stream (to a maximum of 24 bit/96 kHz) to your external DAC to decode.
