    Hi Paul

We have seen this before. The popping you are hearing is a resolution change from 96Khz from the first song to 192Khz in the second back to 96 in the third... the popping is not coming from the Bluesound NODE but being generated by the DAC. I would contact your DAC manufacturer as there is nothing we can do as it happens down the chain from Bluesound.

    Hey Tony,

With regards to the subject popping sound on track change, I can confirm I experience same with node 2I. True, it only appears between tracks with different resolution. HOWEVER, I have node 2i linked directly to a power amp and the clicks/pops are definitely generated by the node 2i. It's not that a big issue but definitely disturbs and does not fit well the otherwise excellent node 2i. Hope this can be fixed via software update.

For what it's worth, I am experiencing the same issue (popping between tracks) with my Node 2i connected to a Schiit Modi DAC connected to a Schiit Freya+ Preamp and Vidar amp. I am also streaming from Amazon HD and only experience it through the left channel; it's the same for multiple pairs of speakers. I hadn't narrowed it down to a change in track resolution, but this appears to be consistent with my experience. I assumed a poor connection that I was unable to resolve, so at least I can put my mind to rest on this.  Anyone know if this issues is consistent across other streaming services as it's irritating enough for me to consider a switch from Amazon HD. Also curious to know if anyone has reached out to Schiit on this issue?

    Thanks, Ashley

I too am getting a clicking or popping sound from the Node 2i direct into my amp when switching tracks.  I keep seeing how Node says it's not their product, but it most certainly is.  It's really annoying.

Damion - Do you still have the issue when streaming from the BluOS app? My problem (with Schitt Modi DAC) resolved when I stopped using the Amazon Music app and switched to the BluOS app to stream Amazon Music content. If I use the Node2i internal DAC I don’t have an issue streaming Amazon Music using either app. Hope this helps…

I am using the Roon app.  I bought the Nucleus + for the reason I could do it from that.  I don't really like the BluOS app at all.  I will have to try and see if that makes any difference.  Doesn't matter the streaming service.  Amazon, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz...It pops

I only tried Amazon Music HD, but my conclusion is you have to use the BluOS app to avoid the popping between tracks. I’m not a fan of the BluOS app either, but just couldn’t deal with the popping between tracks so am now using it.

I also have the same problem with my new node (N130). Although I only have the problem if I stream from Tidal... never from Spotify. I have my node connected to two mono poweramps, I have had the same setup with sonos for over two years using Spotify without any problem. I bought my node today and the issue presented it self directly with Tidal.

    Edit1:

I tried changing song in the BluOS app and the popping is still there. As previously stated the popping only occurs when having different quality on the songs.

    Edit2:

Also when tidal is automatically changing song after the current song comes to an end there is a popping sound. When I paus and switch to Spotify and play the same list the popping is gone...

I have now Sent a support request...

This is my findings after additional troubleshooting:

    1. Using TIDAL and switching between songs of different quality I get the popp
        Songs played:
Young Dad with Hoffmaestro (MQA quality)
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)
    2. Using TIDAL and switching between some songs and internet radio I get the popp.
        Songs/Radion played:
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)
Sveriges Radio P3 using TuneIn (unknown quality)
    3. Using TIDAL and Spotify switching between them I get the popp.
Not always an issue and I can not quite understand when I get it.
But it seems as if I get it when I play Spotify and switch over to TIDAL no matter the quality of the song.
    4. Using Spotify switching between internet radio I get the popp.
I know this is not at all related to TIDAL - this indicates that it's a Bluesound issue.
Although it is indirectly an issue for TIDAL since only TIDAL has different qualities on songs and not Spotify
This makes me less prone to using TIDAL due to the popp issue.
    5. The popp issue still occurs if sound is muted.
        Switching between songs in TIDAL:
Young Dad with Hoffmaestro (MQA quality)
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)
