Pulse Soundbar (gen 1) unwanted switch to optical input
AnsweredI've been trying for a long time to listen to Amazon Music (via BluOS and Bluetooth) but the unit switches to the optical input after a minute or two. This seems to happen most times I try it, so it is not possible for me to listen to music. The unit is connected via TOSLINK cable to a Sony X900f TV (which is off). I haven't seen any other reference to this issue but I'm hoping there's a fix.

Hello Todd,
It sounds like the TV is sending a signal over the Optical that is triggering the Soundbar's Auto Sense. I find some TVs do this even when it is switched off.
You can either turn off Auto Sense on the Optical Input on the Soundbar (Settings > Player > Audio > Customise Sources > Optical Input), but that is likely undesirable, so I would recommend reaching out to Sony Support to see if there is a setting in the TV to prevent signals over Optical while the TV is off.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the quick response. I suspected the Auto Sense might have something to do with this issue, but I was hoping the TV being off would keep it from happening. I'll check with Sony and see what they have to say.
Todd
