Can I use Node2i to stream to Pulse 2s and Airplay2?
AnsweredHi Bluesound family.
I have a specific use case:
Upstairs, I have a DJ mixer with two turntables in the den with all my record collection
Downstairs kitchen I have two bluesound pulse 2 speakers which sound great. Unfortunately they are not the 2is otherwise I would have airplay2.
I use Roon to control the symfoniks and pulse2s.
I also have a few symfonik speakers around the house. Unfortunately I can’t group them to my kitchen because my bluesound pulse2s and AirPlay2 don’t group.
So I was thinking of adding a node2i to my dj mixer so I can wirelessly send my DJ setup to all other parts of the house using Roon.
Would the node2i, combined with Roon zone grouping, be able to
add both airplay2 (to control the symfoniks) and the bluesound ready pulse2s in my kitchen?
Thanks?

Hello Bartholomew,
I can't say for certain with ROON, but if you group a NODE 2i (or any 2i player) to your non-2i players, you can Airplay to that group (assuming the 2i player is the leader) and that Airplay audio is shared from the 2i player to the other non-2i players it is grouped with.
If grouping via ROON is just a different interface for the same Bluesound grouping, then the same should apply: grouping a 2i player with non-2i players will allow you to Airplay to that group and all the players in the group will stream it.

Sam R.
