What's playing from where, through what to whom?
AnsweredIn our house we have about 10 laptops and phones potentially controlling the Node 2i. Some connect via Bluetooth, others Airplay. Each person has their own Spotify account, sometimes I am controlling what the Node 2i is playing from others Spotify account or sometimes its my own. Throw in a couple pair of Bluetooth headphones which might or might now be connected to Node and add different ways to control what is connecting to what (Apple settings or Bluesound App).
I would like to see in the Bluesound app - what Device is controlling the Node, through what format (bluetooth or Airplay), what Source Account is the Node receiving from, and where is it sending a signal to (headphones or RCA out?) and what other Bluesound devices could be added to this arrangement.

Hello Chris,
Some of this is already possible.
For example, if I am airplaying to my player, I can see the Airplay icon on the Now Playing screen:
If it is a Bluetooth source (Bluetooth pair, sending audio to the Bluesound player), you will see the Now Playing screen showing the Bluetooth symbol where the artwork above is.
If the player is outputting to a paired Bluetooth headphone, you'll see it in the Player Drawer and Now Playing screen:
This should apply to all BluOS enabled devices (I've tested on both the M10 and NODE 2i)
Regarding checking the account being played from: since Spotify Connect is done entirely through Spotify's app, I do not believe it would be very possible to grab the account data and show it through the BluOS app (there are likely security features in place to prevent it).
Regards,
Sam R.
