    Hello,

I see you've sent in a request to the support crew; in the meantime, I would recommend trying to add your local library using the Network Share steps to see if the share will mount this way.

Please see the first section regarding Network Shares on our knowledge base article on File Sharing - Windows here: https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000186887

    Regards,
    Sam R.

Thanks. But now having issue with Windows 10. Cannot get the damn security tab to appear on the folder properties. Don't have gpedit and the registry change suggestion to enable this takes me to a registry folder that doesn't exist. So I do all this, but don't have an Explorer in my registry after Policies. Nothing there. No instructions to create this, so wary about doing it with the possibility I'll do some damage to the registry file. Any advice?

Windows Key+R > Type regedit and Enter
    Navigate to following path
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
In right-side pane, create a new DWORD NoSecurityTab and set its value to 0. It'll immediately add "Security" tab for all files and folders properties window. If it doesn't add the tab, you can log off, restart your system and check

Succeeded with getting the Security tab enabled on my internal C: drive by adding the registry key. Could not get Win10 to allow the security tab on any folders on my external USB drive F: (where I have my music stored), though. Not sure why this would be an issue.

But still no dice. Tried manually mounting the network share in the app, too. Just get mounting failed message.

At a complete loss on this. No clue how or why this happened, but have spent way too long already trying to fix this issue. And of course there isn't a good option to just go to a USB HD plugged right into the Node2i, as it has to rescan all my 15,000 music files every time there's a power outage. Or the Node2i locks up. Had an issue tonight as well where it just couldn't be found on network. Unplugged it and it came back up without an issue. And now of course I need to take 30 mins or more to index all the music files on the USB HD again.

Come on, folks. Been a couple of days waiting for formal assistance here now, too. Spent a lot of $$$ on this thing and this is really unacceptable. Not sure what issue is, as sharing all enabled for the folder. Generally know what I'm doing with PCs and networks. No expert, but know my way around. Seems to be something happening when the controller goes to Authenticate after selecting the Music folder in Local Share, as I never get any sort of option to accept any sharing options or input my admin password or whatever.

This WAS not answered or solved! Got an email from support offering a solution that did not work, and support closed the ticket on that same email. Would've been nice to have had a chance to try the solution before closing and reporting this as answered/solved.

    Very, very frustrated.

Following up to note that Eric solved my issue with a call. Allowed the folder to be shared by going through Network and using IP address instead of computer name. Worked immediately. So back up and running. That said, pretty clear that this is a workaround and that there are issues with Local Shares and at least some Win 10 PCs. Something isn't working right with the BluOS software that causes it not to find or use or both local music folders.

In response to Tony -- my request was closed and reopened. When I wrote that, it had been closed. Anyhow, issue fixed for now, although certainly not confident in the BluOS software.
