    Hi all,

I'm bored to wait for a real communication and action from NAD. for me It's not acceptable to wait so long (more than 6 months), specially for a product at this price and range.

I will give you my solution: TLTR; I went with something else than NAD.

I have a Naim Atom, but wanted more power to drive my bigger speakers, the M33 was the option on paper. But since, there is no NAD/Roon certification, I kept my Naim Atom and bought a power amp (same as the one inside the M33) from audiophonics (LPA-S400ET). And to be honest, after trying BlueSound app with a T778 of a friend, I don't have any regrets. When you think of an app to control the device, how you can't choose inputs or audio setting from this app ? The BlueSound app is only to control streaming source otherwise it's a joke.

If I didn't have the Naim Atom, I guess I would take a raspberry with Roon and with a dac (khadas tone 2 and his balanced cables) and the power amp (LPA-S400ET), to enjoy balanced sound.

I aware of that solution is only if you want to use Roon and nothing else.

But one thing I'm sure, I will never buy a product for what they might do, but only for one they can really do. This NAD issue show me how important is to have a good hardware, software AND support, unfortunately NAD have ONLY good hardware at least on paper.

So it's been quite a while and still no Roon certification with the NAD T 778. Roon FINALLY spoke up on their forum and let everyone know the ball is in NAD's court. So..... what's the holdup? $3,000, this thing should not only be Roon certified but wash my car and make dinner.

Thank you all for your continued patience and understanding.

We are very pleased to announce that in the coming days, we will be launching BluOS 3.14. Amongst some other great added features, ROON has fully Certificatied the Award Winning NAD M33 and NAD T778 flagship AV Receiver.

    Hi Tony,

Can you confirm if this update will enable my Ci580 to playback Roon as it has been unable to do this for the last year. The Ci580 has been on the Roon certified list for some time although so far it has not worked for me.

    Hi Jeremy

There were a number of changes made to meet these requirements but unsure if anything directly affected the CI580. If after the release, and you are still having issues, please contact The Support Crew with updated log files for them to review with QA but I suspect you should be okay.

    can you please confirm?

I hope this information helps and am going to mark this request as solved to prevent you from receiving reminder emails from our system.

Just did the upgrade but the Roon core will not accept my M33 as Roon-ready yet and the partner page at Roon has not been updated:

    https://roonlabs.com/partners/nad

Maybe we need to wait for Roonlabs to take action this time?

    Hi Tony,

I have just updated my Ci580 and controllers.

With careful coaxing and without any real control Roon now plays albeit with some unacceptable sound issues which sound like distortion/clipping at times.

Setting Roon in BluOS and then trying to control from Roon simply does not work. When selecting the same zone the BluOS player appears to play on a random basis and plays different content to that requested via Roon.

So a modest step forward but Roon remains broken with Bluesound for now.

As always in these cases, better to work offline with the Support Crew for more details by selecting Help, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so we may review the log file...

    Hi,

Just did the BluOS upgrade but Roon will not enable my NAD T-778 as Roon-ready. The Uncertified prompt is still there and Enable button gives the "Not Certified by Roon Labs" prompt. Complete power off/on still no go.

    Roon: 1.8 (build 783)

    BluOS: 3.14.2
