Thomas -- if the latest update did not resolve the issue, please replicate and forward a diagnostic log to our support crew (Help > Send Support Request; log will be automatically attached) so that they may look into this further.

I’ve experienced the same issue, the first couple of tracks skip/stutter repeatedly (whichever position fails on a given track keeps failing at the same point when I replay -- but different positions on different tracks), issue arises often with MQA music, please investigate this issue and provide software update ASAP? Thank you. Colin. Oakville. Canada

On other thread I found work around: under settings=> audio, turn off the "audio trim" slider. No idea what it does not seemed to solve it. Clearly it's a fudge so proper solution still needed.

Same stuttering issues here, now going on for a least 3 months, or so.  Wasn't like this before.  I see that there's been no resolution, as of yet.  Not very optimistic at this point, and unless a solution is presented, I can't say I'd recommend a Bluesound Node 2i to anyone at this time.  Pretty expensive piece of gear to have faults like this.

Issue Solved, so far!  I was about to consider my Node 2i a loss, and was very unhappy with its apparent status.  But, desperate times call for desperate actions!

First, I tried unplugging node 2i, waiting 30 secs, then replugging/rebooting.  No changes, music playback still had hiccups, very annoying!  I uninstalled the macOS desktop app (thinking that I'll try everything, because I'm desperate), and re-installed.  No improvement.  Finally, I reset the Node 2i to factory settings.  Bingo!  This seems to have solved the stuttering/hiccup problems that have been plaguing my Node 2i for 3 months, or so.  Absolutely perfect playback now.  So relieved.

I would have tried the unplugging of our internet router/modem, as previously read about on one other post, but this turned out to be not necessary, thank goodness.

Anyway, for what it's worth, the factory reset seems to be the cure.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Update: 01/01/2021

Looks as though the factory reset was only a short lived fix.  All music played through the Node 2i (streaming and attached usb drive with FLAC & AIFF) stuttered and jittered.  I dove back into the manual and tried to see where it would lead.  It didn't lead anywhere, actually, but I did find one setting of interest:

Under Settings:Player:Audio I found a setting called, Audio Clock Trim

There was some info about what this function does.  I hadn't seen it before, or at least I didn't notice it.  It has to do with using an external DAC, which, in this case, I am using the DAC inside a Peachtree Nova150 via COAX interconnect.  By deselecting this feature, I no longer have any stutters, hiccups, or jitters.

It's funny though, because for the first year of use with the Node 2i, there weren't any stutter issues.  Only this past summer did stutter problem start.

To make sure, I switched the, Audio Clock Trim, back on, and played back some music from Amazon Music HD.  Yep, the stutter issue was there, again.  So off with the, Audio Clock Trim, for good.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else, and to Bluesound Audio, too!
