Multiple Bluos versions listed in Windows 10 Apps
AnsweredHave just installed Bluos Ver 3.10.0 yet when I look at the Apps via Windows 10 Settings it lists both Versions 3.61.& 3.8.3, but not 3.10.0 ?!?
QUESTIONS:
1. Why are there multiple listings? Does the new version not uninstall the previous version(s) before installing the new version (like essentially every other Windows app since the beginning of time)?
2. Why is the latest version 3.10.0 not listed at all?

SOLVED: Used 'Programs and Features' via 'Control Panel' and was able to 'uninstall' duplicate listing (removed from list). Re-installed ver 3.10.0 and it seems to running ok. Looks like the old school approach wins again.

The controller install doesn't manage updates of previous versons properly. You need to uninstall older versions prior to installing newer versions.

Hi Ray
We are having a hard time replicating this but I have forwarded your feedback to QA for further investigation.
Thanks for letting us know.

I've already cleaned up the previous versions so I can't provide a screen shot. I had the same 2 older versions in Windows Settings/Apps & features and 3.10 was not listed. I uninstalled 3.8 and got an error trying to uninistall 3.6. Reinstalled 3.10 and now only 3.10 shows in Windows Settings. It may have something to do with installing for a single user vs all users.

I just had this issue again installing 3.12. The issue with not being able to do a clean uninstall might be related to the default folder of "C:\BluOS Controller" when the single user option is selected. Programs for single users are typically installed in the user's AppData\Local folder not under the C:\ folder.
If you install one version as single user then try to install a newer version for all users then it gets all messed up and the Windows Setting uninstall fails. I had to use regedit to clean up all references to BluOS before 3.12 would install.
