After rough start, BluOs 3.10.0 now improved over previous versions
AnsweredWhen I first was offered the upgrade last week, it appeared to download, but repeatedly failed to install. Tried with USB stick, same thing. I waited 24 hrs and tried again and it installed first time on powerup.
The improvement is in wifi signal strength. With previous BluOs versions, the unit would default to connecting to my wired node, far away and downstairs from my listening room, resulting in a -72 dBm (poor) reading for signal strength. In order to get it to connect to my nearby wireless node on my mesh network, I would have to manually reboot with every listening session. With the 3.10.0 upgrade, it now stays set on my nearby node where the reading is -55 dBm (good) and no longer changes back to the weak distant wired node on its own.

An updated Wi-Fi Driver was a huge part of this release. Testing it and getting it right was a major part of the delay in getting it out (doing it without a central lab due to COVID-19 also didn't help). Glad to see it paid off for you and many of our consumers.
Thanks David.

You were lucky since for some us the WiFi Driver "upgrade" has caused the device to either get stuck in the red LED mode or can not connect to the router. My understanding is this is a known defect and is being worked by the Bluesound technical team. Hopefully we'll get a fix soon.
