BluOs can't realiably find player (NAD C658)
AnsweredHi,
I've seen some posts that are similar to my problem but not exactly. Thanks for any help in advance.

I’m having some difficulty with the BluOs app (Android and IOs) and desktop software.
I am using BluOs with an NAD C658.
The C658 is hardwired to the network (not wireless) and shows up on my router as online.
Settings are: Auto Sense – ON, Network Standby – On and Auto Standby – ON.
The issue is no matter which platform I use, the device (laptop, iPhone, Android tablet) I am unable to wake the C658 from standby when I start BluOs. “Looking for players” just goes on infinitely.
If I turn the power switch on the back of the C658 off and then back on, this fixes the issue but only for that session.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello Jim,
That's a bit odd given your C658 is hardwired -- is it connected directly to the router, or does it go to a switch first?
As a test, see what happens when you set Auto Standby to OFF (and you manually switch to standby after use).
Since its visible in your router's table of devices, it may also help to set a DHCP reservation on the C658.

Thanks for the help, Sam;
The C658 goes through a power strip and a switch. My NAS does as well and I've had no issues with it (WOL etc.). I'll try your suggestions and focus on the switch and mess with the Auto Standby. Also, the C658 does have a reserved DHCP address. Thanks again. I'll work on this later to day and report any changes.
Jim
