Tidal HiFi App Installation

Hi,

 

I am currently considering purchasing the Bluesound Node 2i but I have a query regarding the integration of Tidal service in to BlueOS app for iOS. 

I currently have a Tidal HiFi Premium tier subscription. For various reasons, I do not have the Tidal app installed on any of my iOS device (iPhone & iPad). 

My question is, do I need to have the Tidal app installed on my iOS device in order to integrate the Tidal service in to the BlueOS iOS app? I understand that when I am integrating the Tidal service, I will be required to enter the Tidal credentials. Will this be done via the browser or will it mandate me having the Tidal app installed? 

If it is the latter, it is a deal breaker!

  Hello Pranesh, 

  To use Tidal with a Node 2i, you will need to download the BluOS Controller app, and then inside that app you will need to enter your Tidal login credentials to use Tidal with the Node (the login is an auth page within the BluOS app). 

  The Tidal integration is fully contained within the BluOS app, so you will not need to use the Tidal app when operating BluOS (however you will need the BluOS app).
