Playback friezes for a second every 2-3 hours.
AnsweredHello.
I have experienced a problem with wired connection. Playback friezes for a second or so every 2-3 hours. I checked diagnostic page and see overruns error on eth0 interface.
if eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 90:56:82:XX:XX:XX inet addr:192.168.0.16 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:229187 errors:1350 dropped:0 overruns:1350 frame:0 TX packets:41962 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:184869897 (176.3 MiB) TX bytes:11883710 (11.3 MiB) lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:65536 Metric:1 RX packets:17918 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:17918 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:3609929 (3.4 MiB) TX bytes:3609929 (3.4 MiB) wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr C4:3A:35:XX:XX:XX UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
This statistic for 5 min. after reboot. After few days there were more than 61K errors.
This problem appears only on wired connection. I used the player on wireless connection without any problems during a month.
Version: BluOS: 3.8.13 PIC32: N110-20191115; Playing files from local NAS.

Start by checking the run and replace the cable. If problems persist, please select Help, Send Support Request to send the entire log to our support crew and we will be happy to help locate the root cause.

Thank you for your support Tony, but overruns counts that times when there is FIFO overruns, caused by the rate at which the net buffer gets full and the kernel isn't able to empty it; and never related to the cable problems...

Hello Serhii,
In many cases, we have seen this error resolved by changing the cable in the past. Given this only happens to your player on a wired connection, it's still a good idea to try changing the cable anyway to see if that resolves the issue.
And to reiterate, if the problem persists, Help > Send Support Request so our Support Crew may look into it further.

I have had same issues with cable connection. Only when playing MQA songs from Tidal.
My network is 1 Gig full duplex and speedtest is showing only 9ms ping and download is about 90 Mb/s so internet is also fine.
