Tone Controls Don't Function on Toslink output? RCA only?

Hi everyone. I have my Node 2i connected to BeoLab 17 speakers via Toslink. Using the BluOS app, I adjust the Tone Controls to manipulate bass and treble but there is no change in sound quality.

Are the Tone Controls only active on the Node 2i RCA outputs?

  Tone controls work when listening to digital content - BUT - are disabled when using an MQA External DAC and/or over-ridden when playing MQA content as per MQA's specs.

  Perhaps that is what you are seeing.
