Using NAS for additional storage with Vault

Is anyone using a NAS with their Vault 2/2i who’d be willing to share the make/model and how it’s integrated with the Vault? I’m in the middle of a project ripping upwards of 10,000 CDs (FLAC) plus download purchases. It’ll clearly exceed the Vault’s 2TB capacity so I’m considering incorporating a NAS. Not sure of the optimal approach but am thinking of moving folders containing various ripped CDs back and forth between the Vault and NAS and reindexing each time. Are there other approaches worth considering? Can the Vault access the NAS through one of the USB ports or only via LAN? All suggestions appreciated.

You cannot divert a VAULT's rips to a secondary location.Two suggestions though;
1) Once you have ripped the first 4,000-5,000 CDs, transfer the VAULT's rips to the NAS; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/200387457
OR
2) Buy a second VAULT and they will integrate seamlessly into a single Library
