Cracking noise / popping noise while streaming through Airplay

Using Node 2i, when I stream through Airplay, I hear a cracking (popping) noise. When I stream directly through Bluesound App, I have no issues. I previously contacted support and they couldn’t figure it out. I have a feeling that there could be either a software glitch, otherwise, wifi signal interference. I reset my device, connected it directly through Ethernet cable to the router, but the issue still exists. This noise comes both through headphone jack and RCA output. Anyone experienced something similar?
