Index doesnt show Artist - only shows album artist
AnsweredI have set the artist for each track in different albums and all albums have the same Album artist. After indexing, when i navigate to the Genre, i only see the Album artist -- it doesnt show all artists for all the albums.
I use MediaMonkey to edit and manage the meta data and it shows me the artists correctly.
Any idea what I can do to get the same effect in the BlueOs App?

We list by Album Artist in our sort preferences, but if you search we do reference Artist tags as well in the search results.
This is by design as it is best practices with ID3 tags and why there is an Artist and an Album Artist tag.

Of course there is a reason for an Artist tag and an Album Artist tag, so you can browse and/or sort using either as the BluOS developers seem reluctant to add the option I may have found a solution to this issue for some people at least.
I don't use or maintain the Composer tag in my collection and it appears that the composer tag from Various Artist albums shows up in the Composer List in the Library so if I copy all my Track Artist tags to the Composer tag I should be able to get a complete list of all Artists in my collection.
Of course this solution won't be suitable for everyone, I'll try and give a go in the next week or so and see if it works.

Yes this works perfectly, so I can now get a full list of Artists not just Album Artist, as I'm used to with Media Monkey, it makes no sense to browse the list of artists and not be able to see all artists you have songs by.
