NAD M50.2 - M12 MQA
AnsweredI have a NAD M50.2 digital player connected to a NAD M12 DAC/preamp. The M50.2 is Bluos enabled and they're bot MQA capable. Would you recommend me to select the external MQA DAC on the M50.2, to use the M12 as the decoder...
I'm rather naive on MQA and the whole rendering/decoding concept
Btw, I mostly stream from TIDAL

Hi Carlos
This is really a question for support@nadelectronics.com but here goes; though the NAD M12 can play MQA up to 24/192 with an internal BluOS MDC, the NAD M12 DAC on its own is not an MQA Certified DAC. Using the NAD M50.2 connected to an NAD M12, you will be limited to a single fold of up to 24/96 when enjoying MQA content.
If you want to educate yourself; www.mqa.co.uk is a great resource.
