Thanks for the feedback Cheong - I have passed it along for future consideration.

Same counts for me: only 30 albums in My collection. With Qobuz I can see all my favorite albums, but not with Idagio.

    Hi Jan

We have replicated this issue here - it has been passed along to Quality Assurance and hope to resolve in the near future via a firmware update.

The limit of 30 not only affect albums, but i.e. the DISCOVER list too.

My workaround for favorite albums, not in blueOS list, is to go to idagio, delete the album from favorites and add to favorites again. Then the album is on first position.

On the other hand, I wish there would be a option to sort the favorites on idagio.

When will this issue be resolved?

This issue is still unresolved. Is this a problem with Idagio or BluOS?

I don't know, but in the Idagio app everything is working all right..

Often Music Services have different licensing tiers - if everything is showing in the Idagio App but not in the BluOS App, this si a limitation or purposeful filter in the Idagio API to prevent certain content they are unable to play for licensing reasons on third party streamers.

Please speak with Idagio about this content.

This cannot be a licensing issue.

    1. The same piece of music in my album collection can still be searched in BluOS and played.

    2. The limit problem does not apply to Playlists. I can add hundreds of tracks to playlist, and it displays them all.

    3. This limit of 30 "albums" apply to all the screens, such as New Albums...

I contacted Idagio and this was their reply:

Thank you for your message, and please accept my apologies for this inconvenience.

We are aware of this issue and the current ongoing discussion around it. However, I can assure you that this issue is not due to a licensing issue on our part.

As several other users have brought this up, we contacted Bluesound directly this week. I was told by the Bluesound support staff that this limit of 30 albums is done for memory management reasons, and that the remaining albums should load within seconds when scrolling further down. However, having tested this on several different devices I can confirm that this does not do anything to show the remaining albums. Upon inquiry about this I was told that their "QA Team is reviewing it and hopes to resolve it in a near-future software update."

Hi Roland - I in fact addressed the 30 search results issue yes - the issue you described in your separate post is not this issue.

Re-upping this question of 30 Album limitation in Idagio interface.  As with all my comments, I'll start by saying I LOVE Bluesound in general.

It's not a licensing issue in the sense that it displays any and all albums, but only the most recent 30 added to a user's favorites.  If you delete a favorite, the list fills in with the 31st album down.

I believe the API only serves up 30 items, but do you have no ability to influence their policy there?

Another annoying glitch in the way information appears in the Bluesound app is that it often strips composer and even Work Title from track information.  he ability to present Classical Music labels in super-organized and relevant ways is Idagio's value-add.  And it's that rich information that tends to get lost in Bluesound.  Compare two views of the same DG album below, one from Bluesound app, one from Idagio native app. Composer info taken away, along with name of complete work, often.

After more than 2 years, this issue of 30 albums limits showing on BluOS looks like it will never be fixed. I suppose this is because the user base of Idagio is too small for Bluesound to consider. Neither is Idagio doing anything about this.

I'd suggest looking at Apple Music and the upcoming Classical Music app. Idagio is no longer the exclusive lossless Classical music streaming service when Apple Music introduced lossless and hi-res. With Apple Music Classical, we can drop both Idagio and BluOS (any AirPlay compatible device can play lossless), and get full usability and the metadata that classical music requires.

I really look forward to Apple Music Classical...

You know, until you just said that, it didn't occur to me that we do NOT have to wait at all to implement the Airplay solution.  On my iPhone or computer, I can play to my Airplay-compatible Bluesound device directly from  the IDAGIO app. At least on the surface, it looks like I'm streaming lossless (if not hi-res) sound directly to my Bluesound Powernode, by-passing the BluOS App.  I can still access my locally saved music collection via BluOS.  Best of all worlds.

No need to wait for Apple Classical.  I'm inclined to think also that IDAGIO pay structure for musicians will be better than what Apple negotiates.  So we can stay loyal IDAGIO customers.

Thank you for helping me come to this realization!   (I have some legacy Bluesound devices that can't get Airplay.  But I can probably stream to one that can, and then sync with the other player.  Will have to experiment.)

IDAGIO does sound ever slightly better when streamed directly from BluOS than via Airplay.

Here's a workaround to the favourites albums issue:

    • create a playlist
    • add the first track of the album that you would have added to Favourites to this playlist
    • use the "Go to album" option in the playlist to go to full album

Playlists are not affected by the album bug, so you may add hundreds of 'albums' to a playlist. Ironically, album art is not displayed on the IDAGIO app, but it is shown in BluOS controller.

I still hope Bluesound will fix this issue one day.

IDAGIO subscriber here, who just purchased a Bluesound Edge. Disappointing to see this issue with the album limit has been around for so long. I get around it by using my iOS IDAGIO app to browse for new releases then I search for them on the BluOS app. It would be easier to be able to browse new releases directly on the Bluesound app
