Play by Genre/Create playlist by Genre
AnsweredI have supported a request for adding the feature "play by genre" but have seen that the request may have been forwarded to the developers for the past five years or so.
As I use this feature a lot in my music apps (all of those I used so far had this), I do not want to go without it. Is there a limit on the number of songs that can be put on a playlist? My idea is to create a playlist for each genre by manually adding all the CD's to genre playlists - but don't want to risk the trouble to find out half way through that process that the maximum number of songs has been reached.
Maybe above sounds a bit harsh. I have just been using the powernode 2i for a couple of days and I like it a lot. Also the design of the app is great - no complaints on quality from that side on both hard- and software
Thanks and regards
Toby
PS: If you are aware that the developers are bringing up an update on this let me know - would save me the time to map all my CD's to the genre playlists.

Why don't you go to:
Library
Select Genre
Select the genre you want to play
In the next window you will find Songs at the top of the page. Behind that, press show all.
Press the first song on the list that appears and all the songs within the genre on your library will start to play.
This is de procedure for the windows controller. Its the same for Android.

Ummm...I think you need to enable AutoFill for this to work...
YMMV, but I don't like AutoFill.

Great, thanks. that works. I had autofill turned off as I didn't like it. Have now created playlists with those genres I listen the most and turned of autofill again.
