I have been very disappointed with Bluesound since 2020, when I purchased a NAD M17 V2.  YouTube Music, Pandora and SoundCloud were not and still not available through Bluesound.  I have read many requests for these streaming services to be added.  However, Bluesound does not appear to be concerned about customer satisfaction.  My Sonos streamer has everyone that I have ever searched for, and it does not make you jump through hoops trying to connect to those services.  Bluesound is a big disappointment!

Is there any development on the Bluesound? I agree with Stan: I own my Bluesound for 5 years now and did not see any major streaming service added to the ecosystem (SoundCloud, MixCloud, Youtube, BBC, ...).

What are the future plans? Is there any roadmap?

Reviving old topic because why not. I assume there is no progress on it and there won't be any progress.

Company does not care about their customers. Same as here:

    Just buy someting else.

I'm currently in the process of purchasing my first Class D all-in-one amp, and I have my eyes on the NAD M33, M10 V2, and C399. Thus, i am doing a lot of research which bring me to here.

One concern I have is that BluOS doesn't support YTM, which happens to be my primary music streaming provider. This has left me feeling somewhat hesitant.

I was wondering if any of you could suggest alternative options that have HDMI eARC capability? It would be great to explore other possibilities before making my final decision.

Thank you in advance. I greatly appreciate your help.

    Hello @Ash Cheng

People have been asking for Youtube Music here for years but no sign of progress in that direction yet...

When selecting your amp, make sure the Multi-room works in both ways. I have a NAD v758 v3i and cannot stream my TV sound to my Bluesound Powernode. Those are the things you only discover after purchase ;-)

So, here's the deal.  I've been part of this thread for years, and I've been in touch with support about the lack of chromecast/YTM functionality.  Based on their comments and support, they are not a fan of adding chromecast, for either cost or developer reasons.  The nodes will probably never have proper support, so go buy a WiiM Pro Plus.  It's awesome.  It does all that the bluesound node does, but it does it well with better setup, stability and regular updates that don't just fix minor issues, but adds features.  I gave my node away to someone that now has to deal with it crashing and losing connection all the time.  Meanwhile, the WiimProPlus has been rock solid.

Also, the WiimProPlus for my system is a better DAC.  I felt I was missing out on high frequency clarity with the Node, but it all came back with the Wiim.

After waiting for 4+ years for YouTube Music to be added to the Node, I'm completely frustrated. How come the Cambridge streamers can do it but not Blusound? Questions about the  Wiim Pro plus; how does it integrate with Roon? I also have a Nucleus at home (alongside the Node). Does the Nucleus recognize it as an endpoint and do they play well together? Do I need to buy TWO of them to cover my two rooms, as I have two Nodes. Finally, is it worth it? Or...????

Is it maybe possible to buy chromecast dongle and connect it directly to hdmi arc input?

It is not quite approved by Roon yet, but should be very soon.  Looks like the hold up at the moment is certification from Roon themselves.  Other WiiM devices support Roon, so I expect it to get an update soon.

I've just joined YTmusic and have got to say I'm loving the algorithm of it. I discovering more new music than ever before. Please please could we see it integrated with Bluos?  I would love to stream direct to my Node. My work around at the moment is to stream it via a firestick which I connect to the node via a optical cable. But to integrate it into Bluos would be perfect. I'm sure it can't be that hard to do?

Hello Andrew, Carlos, Tkunin, James, Joe, Jerry, Carlo, Johan N, Lasse, Basilisgg, Todd, Kristoffer, Joan, Aidas, Renato, Stan, Ruud, Keralots, Ash, Jiri, Brandon, John, Andreas, Adam, Gregory, Mikmouk, Dennis, Borschi, Henrik, Lieven (from Belgium zoals ik), Lasse, Bruno, Maarten, Arif, Arthur, Kurt (special thanks), Jonathan, Prasenjit, Sasha, Joel, Tony too, and the ones I forget to mention here…

YOU DO NOT NEED THE BLUOS APP TO PLAY ANYTHING THROUGH YOUR BLUESOUND PLAYERS.             YOU DO NOT NEED THE BLUOS APP TO PLAY ANYTHING THROUGH YOUR BLUESOUND PLAYERS.            YOU DO NOT NEED THE BLUOS APP TO PLAY ANYTHING THROUGH YOUR BLUESOUND PLAYERS.

You don't need Roon either. You don't need Bluetooth. “Anything” means any sound coming from your PC, laptop or smartphone, such as your own music collection (played via your favorite music player), and yes, everything else, like the unsurpassed “YouTube Music”. I have already posted about this twice, but it doesn't seem like anyone is reading my post, except for Kurt. Thanks Kurt.

For the last time: “AIRPLAY” IS THE SOLUTION. Use any application that supports “Airplay” and you can listen to anything you want. Without any loss of sound quality. I don't understand how people on this blog say things like “Airplay is not an option for me”. There are plenty of applications, both for Windows and Android, that support Airplay. I use "Tuneblade" on my Windows PC and "Airmusic" on my Android smartphone, but feel free to use something else. I installed these programs and once I was assured that they did the job as desired, I removed Bluos. I wouldn't even think about it anymore if it weren’t for these ever-recurring complaints.

So get rid of that Bluos cr... (Sorry Tony). As long as the Bluesound hardware doesn't start to malfunction (twice in 2 years for me), you shouldn't have to buy another sound system...

I humbly accept every word of thanks for this good advice.

Hey Luc - your suggestion is a fine workaround (thanks for sharing your experience), but not a solution. I've lost hope that Bluesound is going to implement any native support for YouTube Music or Chromecast. If the Chromecast Audio that I have attached ever stops working, I'll have to look for a Bluesound replacement. I appreciate the heads up from Andrew about WiiM.
