When accessing the vault through my network, I see 2 folders "a-ha" and "a-Ha" which act are identical
I have ripped some CDs from a-ha. When I access the vault as a shared drive from macos, I see 2 folders "a-ha" and "a-Ha" that have identical content. If I remove one album from one folder, it disappears from the other.
I have checked that all artist metadata is set to a-ha (including the sorting metadata). I deleted everything, rebuilt the index, reimported one CD once. The issue remains.
In the controller, the album appears only once.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello Cedric,
What you have noticed is a discrepancy due to the Vault running a Linux based system and your computer running Mac or Windows. Since Linux is case sensitive, the folders a-ha and a-Ha are seen as 2 completely separate folders to the Vault. However, when navigating through the internal storage on your computer, your computer sees these 2 folders as the same directory. To resolve this, I would suggest renaming the folder you would like to get rid of as "a-ha 1" to allow your computer to recognize it as a separate folder. After doing this, you can transfer the contents of one folder to the other and delete the emptied folder to help consolidate your music library.
I hope this helps to clarify what you are seeing.

Thanks Wesley. What you describe is not exactly the issue I had (for me it was the opposite: the Vault saw only one folder, but I could see 2 in macos). However I did follow your suggestion to rename 1 folder, and deleted it. That did not do anything to the other folder. Things are now correct even after an index rebuild.
So thanks !
