ReadyNAS-Node 2i-LS50W
I have @ 13k lossless FLAC songs (mostly CD rips, some higher res from HDtracks up to 192/24 that make up 296GB on my Netgear ReadyNAS. I have these new LS50 Wireless speakers that have a built-in streamer, but I'm not getting all my songs. Things are just missing. I'm thinking it's too much for the streamer, so am thinking about the 2i. The LS50Ws take USB and wifi at full resolution, TOSlink and Bluetooth at lower res. The optical tops out at 96. I'd rather not go wifi, but I don't think the 2i has a full res digital out I can use, unless I get a coax to USB converter if such exists. Any ideas?

The LS50Ws are superb but sadly the control app and streaming performance leave much to be desired as you have found. You could look at alternative streamers with USB outputs to feed directly into the LS50Ws but I think that a Node 2i would be a better all round solution even though its digital outputs are limited to coax and Optical SPDIF (and, personally, I don't think Bluetooth is worth considering). However, I would suggest that the best connection would be the rather counter intuitive analogue RCA output from the node 2i as the node's DAC is excellent - covering hi-res up to 24bit/192kHz and is fully MQA compliant. Please see a review of this arrangement here :-
