Standby Node 2i with Remote RC1?
AnsweredHello,
I know there is no pissibility to force the Node 2i into sleep mode. I can hold the play/pause button on the device for longer than 15 seconds in order to put it in a sort of standby, but can I do this with the red button on the remote RC1?
Do you know? Many thanks.

Hi Sebastian
The NODE and other Bluesound Players are designed to be always on and always ready. They will go into Stand By on their own when idle for >15 minutes consuming less than 3W as required by EU Green initiatives.
Placing the player in VACATION MODE of pressing and holding it for 5 seconds powers down the player into a 0.5W stand by if you will be away for extended periods but is not designed as an ON/OFF switch. It will reboot from the start when you do this and can take up to 5 minutes to connect to network devices. You are also prematurely ageing the power supply when doing this. You cannot do this using a remote because the IR sensors are also powered down in this state.
Just set it and forget it.
