Pulse Flex 2i in a bathroom
AnsweredHello,
I found one post regarding placing a Pulse Flex speaker in a bathroom. It suggested that, although the official rating is "20% to 80% relative humidity" (quote from the specs on the site), higher levels shouldn't be a problem.
As I'm also in self-quarantine, like the rest of my country, I'm looking for ways to make things more fun around the house. I'm planning to buy a Flex 2i to complete my Bluesound setup (...for now :D ), consisting of a NAD C368 with BluOS 2/HDMI2 MDCs and a Bluesound Pulse Mini 2i).
My question is: does anyone have a Flex 2(i) in their bathroom and using it for some time and willing to share their experience? I'm planning to buy the battery pack.
I won't place it anywhere near the bath, so splashes of water is not a real concern.
Best regards, Vincent

Hello Vincent,
I myself keep a Pulse Flex in my bathroom to have some music while getting ready in the morning. I keep it at the far side of the bathroom away from my shower and have not had any issues. I would definitely recommend trying to keep humidity minimal with the Pulse Flex, but in my experience, even when taking showers warm enough to fog my mirror, the Flex still continues to operate without any hiccups.Regards,

Hi Wesley,
Thanks again for your help!
One more question: I noticed the Pulse Flex Skin description mentions that it will protect the Flex against water, dust, etc., so that might be a logical choice for me. Also as I plan to use it as a more or less portable speaker around the house.
I could not find out however whether the Skin can be combined with the Battery pack option?
Best regards, Vincent

Hi Vincent,
no problem to keep the skin with battery pack. The skin is not fully closed at the back. But this means the connections on the back are not protected against water. Maybe better with the battery pack because some connections are covered.
