What quality is the Calm Radio stream
AnsweredI have taken up the Calm Radio offer & paid subscription for 2 years. On my phone the app allows you to choose from 3 quality levels when streaming to earbuds etc. but via Bluos app & streaming thro my Node 2i there is no indication whether the best quality stream 320kbits is being used or indeed if its the default 192kbits that is streaming. Please could anyone confirm which it is, it would be useful to have options via Bluos , could this be included in a software update?

Hello Michael,
After testing this here in our office I can confirm that Calm Radio through the BluOS app will default to the highest available quality which is in most cases 320Kbs. If you would like to verify this yourself, start a Calm Radio stream through the BluOS app then go to Help > Diagnostics > More to view your player's diagnostic log. From here you can scroll to the bottom of the current timestamps and look for a recent entry which includes a "bitrate=" value.Regards,

Many thanks Wesley P, its good to know the Bluos app defaults to the highest quality stream. Kind regards
Michael

Hi,
I have the 4.02 update to BlueOS and this Help>Diag>More is not working/available. Can you tell me how to see my bitrate on Calm and other services?
Thanks0 -
Hi John
On the Now Playing Screen you should see a quality indicator; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000063928
If no Quality Indicator appears you are listening to lossy MP3/AAC
