    Hi Tdad33

    We have no plans for a wireless VAULT since one of it's primary functions is to act as a NAS for other Bluesound Players as well. A wired connection guarantees reliable upload speeds.

    Have you considered powerline adapters or a wireless media bridge where the wireless signal is handled on level 2 rather than level 3 of the network stack?

    Thanks for the reply!  I'm leery of power line adapters due possible interference.  (Am I write to be?)  And I'm afraid I'm not that savvy and don't know of the media bridge solution.  Can you please elaborate or post any helpful links?

    No need to be leery - low voltage network packets run on a completely different phase than high voltage AC. Your local consumer electronics superstore or computer superstore will be happy to help you out with wireless bridge solutions that are right for you. My suggestion is to standardise on a brand - if you have a Netgear router, use a Netgear bridge. If your router is TPLink - use a TPLink bridge for best performance. Not a requirement but a good tip as the firmware is normally designed in unison that way.

    Thanks again Tony. I've just read many many reviews, and seen videos on youtube, showing audible noise from the speakers with powerline adapters in use. 

    Can the vault 2i accept a usb wifi adapter?  Something like this?

    The noise you are hearing in those cases has to do with poor grounding - solve your ground issue and you will not have noise.

    We do not support USB WiFi Adapters for the original reason.
