External RAID drive
AnsweredI have an OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual External RAID drive that uses USB. It is not a NAS.
I would like to use it as a RAID 1 drive on my BlueSound Vault 2i to store FLAC files ripped from CDs so that I can leave the internal Vault drive for Metadata because I have thousands of CDs, mostly Classical and Jazz. Can someone point me to the appropriate guidance for this? Searching on RAID did not turn up much in the Communities. If necessary, I could attach this drive to a networked PC that is (almost) always on.
Up till now I have only used it as a HDD on my Windows 10 PC.

Hello Carl,
I have not tested a RAID 1 drive connected directly to a Bluesound player via USB myself, so in this case, I would suggest connecting this HDD to your computer and configuring it as a network share. With that being said, if you already have this RAID drive and a Vault 2i in your possession, please feel free to try connecting these devices directly via USB to see if you are able to access the connected library.
