Slight hiss/buzz from speakers when not playing music. (Powernode 2i)
AnsweredIs it normal that my Dali Oberon 1's produce a slight hiss/buzz/white noise-type sound when not playing any music and while the amplifier (Powernode 2i) is on/active?

Hello wBoop,
Does this buzzing you're experiencing change when you adjust the volume on the Powernode 2i? For example, does the buzzing get quieter when reducing the volume output of your Powernode 2i?If the buzzing changes with the Powernode's volume, this may be due to your Dali speakers being sensitive at high volumes. However, if the buzzing does not change with the volume, the first thing I would suggest is to try a different set of speaker cables to see if this resolves the issue.
If replacing the cables still exhibits the same behavior, then please contact our support team directly at support@bluesound.com so we can investigate this further for you.

I opened up Roon. I paused a song and set the volume at 0% and 100% - The "hiss" was the same.
I just got the system. Both the Powernode 2i and the Dali Oberon's are brand new. They are connected with brand new cables: Argon Audio Classic 2 w. Banana plugs.

It is not audible when the music is playing. This tiny hiss with a slight tone, isnt it just supposed to be there when you put your ear right next to the tweeter/driver? I mean. Will any speaker driver be dead silent when nothing is being played while still being active and connected to the amplifier?

Hello wBoop,
Some higher-end speakers may be more sensitive and result in a low hum or buzz when playback is paused. If you are only noticing this noise when your ear is right next to it and not from your standard listening position, then this buzzing should not be a concern.However, if you notice this buzzing get any worse or occur during audio playback, please contact our support crew directly so we can investigate the issue further for you.

same issue here to this day as with a lot of people when searching for 'powernode noise' . never had issues until the first day i started using the powernode, so no doubt it's a powernode issue. I have the N330
in my case it's an audible pink noise when pausing music. (mainly from tweeter) using HDMI
Also several times a day my tv screen turns black unexpected and returns after several seconds sometimes with a loud digital click! (waiting for one of my speakers to get damaged because of this)
Got myself decent HDMI cables
8k HDMI-kabel 2.1 2m - 8K @ 60Hz 4K @ 120Hz with DSC - HDMI 2.1 2.0a 2.0b
In airplay mode no issues concerning pink noise
using Klipsch RF7 speakers.
Still happy with the overall soundstage of the powernode but this problem excists for years already... (or so it seems)
Used HDMI with several amplifiers in the past and never had this issue (yamaha/denon)
