Strange issue with playback with node2i
AnsweredI recently installed a bluesound node2i to a legacy whole house Nuvo stereo system. It all want extremely well except I noticed something strange when playing old rock and roll tunes with heavy does of lead guitar or guitar solos, example Neil Young's Down by the River, When the lead guitar plays it is in the background and barely audible when it should be front and center from an audio perspective. I have checked all connections on system itself and cannot figure out why this is happening. Happens whether I am using as bluetooth playing my iTunes Library or Pandora, or using the native bluesound channels or its direct link to services like Tidal. I really don't notice an issue with other types of music like hip hop or R&B but may just me missing more subtle issues that are actually still occur when playing back other music forms whereas lead guitar is very easy to know when it is missing, playing softly in the background when it should not be. Any thoughts on what is going on where and how to correct?

Hi Tom
So many dependencies here. Though I suspect it is connection related such as analogue vs digital connectors etc.
Connect the NODE 2i directly to your amplifier using the RCA connectors and remove Nuvo from the equation if you can. Let us know your findings at support@bluesound.com so we can provide 1:1 support and help you figure out what is happening here.
