iOS app interface - Swipe to go back instead of reveal side-menu
AnsweredLove the Bluesound products - I use the Bluesound iOS app exclusively with the Tidal integration, I just have one thing that irks me on a daily basis that I'd like to propose as a request:
When I swipe from the left-hand edge of the screen towards the middle of the screen:
current behaviour: Reveals side-menu
expected behaviour: Go back to previous view
Reasoning:
This swipe means "Go back" for almost all iOS apps - this the native behaviour that everyone is used to for this gesture. When I'm already browsing my Tidal playlists in the app, it's *much* more likely that I want to go back one view e.g. to the list of playlists, than to do something in the side-menu (generally a bigger context switch like changing player or streaming service, which happens much less often in a session).
I know this can be achieved by tapping the back arrow in the top left, but the the top left is out of reach for most thumbs on modern iOS devices, so the most commonly done thing should be made easiest to do.
The only exception is when the app first loads, a swipe here should still reveal the side-menu, because there is no previous view to go back to in this case, and the side-menu is the most likely option anyway.
Hope people agree with this!
Cheers
