Cover art remains too large
AnsweredHi,
The first uploaded art work file appeared to be, way too large.
Created a new one (approx. 200kb) and overwrote the existing one.
Re-indexed the tracks, re-loaded the art work but the same message appeared.
Next, I’ve moved the folders involved to another location, checked it by re-indexing the tracks and reloading art work.
Uploaded again, with the small sized cover art file, executed above steps, but the same message appeared.
Suggestions are highly appreciated , thank you.

If you are not using embedded artwork, you will have to purger the Index by selecting Help, Diagnostics, Rebuild Index when changing Artwork.

Once an uploaded oversized cover is marked as such, the black image with the message is very hard to remove. It seems like time is needed before the system un-marks it. Tried several methods of which replacing by a small enough cover, and re-indexing, rebuilding and reload artwork are the most obvious. The only thing that really helps is replacing the cover with a resized one, rebuild the library, reload artwork and then temporary move the correct cover to a subdirectory. Next day place it to the right spot and problem is solved with re-indexing. Maybe being more patient is also a solution. But I expected that reload artwork would and should be enough.
By the way, I work in the windows app.

That's what I do, without success. Only temporary removing the image, rebuild index under help, replace the image and then standard re-index solves the problem.
