I have just witnessed my Node2 go red led and red play/pause button. This was not after or during a firmware update or any other event, and cannot be fixed via USB firmware update as the device immediately goes red led and play/pause once power connected. Bluesound, what options do I have?? This is an expensive device, I wouldn't expect such a failure. NSW, Australia

I've got the exact same issue - the only option support has provided is buying a re-certified unit which will cost almost the same as a new one once shipping, etc. is factored in.
Pretty disappointed with the customer service from BlueSound for what appears to be a known issue with their products.

My node2 just had the same problem. Solid red light.
It’s only 4 years old and used max 2 hours a week.
This EXTREMELY poor quality from a supposedly high end product.
Blue sound obviously designed this product for obsolescense in 4 years. Highly disappointed at the incredibly bad parts quality
I looked inside my node 2, today and almost all cheap capacitor but selling as a premium price.
Honestly how much more would it cost to put in 10 quality caps instead of all the rubbish inside..??
… est usd 2-3 as even a branded capacitor is just 50c
… yet blusound couldn’t be bothered..
If I’m pay going to pay a premium price for low cost China made products (that’s the node 2) … I might as well pay a low price for an ok / better product like WiiM or Ever solo DPM A6 .. which is just what I bought 3 !! of as node really sucks
Blusound . You needs to get to your act together. Consumers aren’t stupid we know what’s going on and you can’t hide shoddiness behind pretty words.
It just infuriates informed consumers like many of us here more!!
