Blue Node not working except for low volume

I have been using your Blue Node 2 for a couple of years and have never had any issues. Recently when i have been playing music the sound cuts out and sounds like a cd with scratches in it. This consistently happens when the volume is over 25%, no matter what kind of device i play from. I have tried updating the system, using a LAN-cable, using other speakers and restarted the Node. 

The issue seems to be about an inability to play music loudly, since the music cuts out as well when especially loud passages comes in songs with otherwise dimmed volume.

I really need help with fixing this issue, since the Node isn't worth much without being able to play music at the volume i want to.
