Vault 2i WIRED headphones sounds wrong
AnsweredI'm really happy with the sound from my Vault 2i but all the headphones I've tried connected to the 3.5mm headphone socket sound really bad. It's as if I'm getting just a portion of the frequency range and it all sounds very processed with lots of "hollowness" almost like (but worse than) one of the "Cathedral" effects from my old Yamaha DSP-1 in bygone days.
All updates have been done, and sound is excellent otherwise. Any suggestions?

Hello Adam,
With sound being subjective, it is very difficult to say what could be causing the Vault 2i to sound "wrong" to you when using the front headphone output. What I would suggest is to ensure that the 3.5mm cable is securely seated both to your headphones and to the front of the Vault 2i as the cable being slightly out of the port may result in certain frequencies being lost to your headphones. If this does not help, the next thing I can suggest would be to use an RCA to 3.5mm adapter to see if you are getting these same issues from your headphones when using the RCA outputs of the Vault 2i as well.
