Hi all,

I would like to use the IR port on the back of my Powernode 2i (HDMI). I bought a cheap IR extender, but it's not working. There is very little information on the use of this port (except from some old postings on this forum). Is there any article that shows, which extenders are compatible?

  We do require an IR Sensor with an external power supply. Please look at brands such as Niles, Speakercraftnor Xantech.

  can a male to mail 3.5mm cable be connected between the node 2021 and one of the emitters ports on my extender?  Normally a cable with an emitter on one end and a male 3.5mm connector on the other end is plugged into the female emitters port but I was thinking since there is a 3.5mm port on the back of the node and a 3.5mm port on the ir extender that just a 3.5 to 3.5 cable might be used??

  Check with your IR Sensor but likely it will require a mono 3.5mm cable (one band). These are readily available on Amazon if not your local authorised Bluesound dealer. It is the same cable used in a 12v trigger.
