IFTTT?

Hi Mike
Thanks for the feedback. We don't have anything to share at this point but have passed your suggestion along to our Product Development Team for future consideration. We do work with Google Assitant and Alexa along with a Lutron driver on our downloads page. Our Gen 2i Players are fully AirPlay compatible so will act as other AirPlay speakers. Keep that in mind if you are an IFTTT user and may be able to work in conjunction with those other automation DIY products.

Thanks for the reply, Tony. Using IFTTT would have made things simpler but I’m sure there will be something else that can do what I need. Specifically I want to be able to use geofencing so that my Bluesound units turn on when I arrive home and turn off when I leave. Surely there’s something available right now that can allow me to do that?

Hi Mike
Unless this is offered via third-party integration systems we already work with such as Control 4 or RTI, there is no native way to do this. Check out www.bluesound.com/downloads for all third-party drivers.

If you can set up a Home Assistant server (on an existing computer or get a Raspberry Pi) you'd be able to use the Bluesound integration to do what you want:

Thanks Neil. Raspberry Pi is brand new to me and a little confusing but I shall investigate.
