Replaygain and output modes have no effect on NAD C658
AnsweredHi
My entire FLAC collection has track replaygain tags generated using Foobar2000. Replaygain is working on my HTPC based Kodi player. But when setting replaygain to on (track) on the bluos app, I can still hear noticeable volume differences on my NAD C658. Also, switching it on and off using the bluos app, while a track with -12db RP tag data is playing has no effect! I don't think the replaygain is working on the C658 (latest firmware).
Also, output mode (stereo/left/righ/mono) has no effect as well. Same goes for customizing inputs...
Can someone please check this issue?
Thanks

OK, I did some more tests. It is working but the effect is very weak compared to other players. Also, the settings changes don't take effect until the track is stoped and played again.
Looks like some max gain/attenuation restriction is employed.
No restrictions are applied. Toggle between SmartGain and Replay Gain and see what sounds right to your ears. Also, Set up DIRAC and see what happens. In the meantime, please reach out to support@nadelectronics.com and the can assist.
