Node 2i streaming dolby atmos music to AVR?

With the advent of Dolby Atmos multichannel music on Amazon Music HD will I be able to stream this successfully in multi-channel format from the Node 2i to my AVR using an optical or coax spdif cable?

  Hi Michael

  The Bluesound NODE 2i will only play 2.1 channel. A PULSE SOUNDBAR with 2 FLEXs in a Home Theatre Group will play this though. That being said, I don't believe Amazon has Multichannel content in Amazon Music even at the Ultra HD tier.

  Hi,

  can‘t imagine that is possible, because you can‘t use the older digital audio outputs like optical and koax SPDIF for Atmos or the other HD Multichannel formats. With Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray you need HDMI and I believe it was with HDMI 2.0, not with the older versions.

  These older audio outputs are limited only DTS and AC3 with multichannel.
