    Hi G-Star

Thanks for the feedback - here's how Playlists work; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360036112673

Hi Tony, thanks for the email. I had read through this article and others as well on the forum in detail yet I cannot find the option to add playlist to BlueOs. I’ve got songs in the play queue from my external HDD as well as my music service Qobuz. When I click on the 3 dots by the song in the queue list from Qobuz and click on Add to playlist it only gives option of Qobuz as the ‘SelectPlaylist’. There is no option for BluOS. When I have songs in the Play queue from my external HDD and I click on the 3 dots and choose Add to playlist the only option there is a Cancel and Select Playlist which is blank.
What am I doing wrong? Is my unit broken or it does not all playlist creation for songs out of HDD?

Okay - I think I finally figured it out. For those who are stuck or reading this forum here is the solution.
BluOS is coded a certain way and will only accept specific configurations to fully optimize playback. In the issue above, I removed the HDD from the back of the node 2 player and plugged it into my WiFi router creating a NAS. That is most optimum way to playback and get the full functionality of the player. Once you plug the HDD into your router you need to log into the router and get the external storage path. This step will be specific to your router.
Once you have the HDD path, go into the player settings and under music library click network shares and select find network manually. Key in that path as instructed and wait till node 2 indexes all the songs. You will get a Library option in the menu once ready. Now you will be able to create playlist and also fully utilize the amazing meta data that Bluesound plugs in. Great player. Enjoy!

    HI G-Star Rocks

That is exactly our recommendation and best practice not just for Bluesound but for all your home networking media devices.

    Agree Tony.
Now I have only one other outstanding issue and that’s Amazon Music HD. It’s pretty much useless playing through BluOS as I am not able to add, create or modify playlists besides other issues. Do you know if this will ever be resolved? My free trial is expiring and I want to know if I should wait or simply get on with another music service. After all node 2 is really a streamer and I want to enjoy its robust functionality with a fully baked music service. Any honest feedback and help will be appreciated. Thanks again.

    Hi G-Star

It is a limitation of Amazon's API documentation that they provide us to connect to their servers. You are not the first to comment on this and we continue to have conversations with Amazon about it.

It would help if you, our mutual consumers, also mention it to them how limited your experience is.

That’s what I thought. I have written on multiple forums and have called Amazon directly on many occasions voicing my concerns and frustrations. They keep saying its Bluesound engineers that need to fix things on their end. It seems like they are built on the mobile platform, as all others like Fire TV, Bluesound etc are not optimized for Amazon Music. If their music service fails I am certain it’s no dent to their bottom line. I may need to start looking at alternatives. Thanks again Tony.
