The way volume of the players is shown...
AnsweredIt's more related to the way the players report there volume to the controllers, so I believe that's the right place for this.
It seems different players (Pulse 2i, Flex 2i, Powernode 2i) handle the volume control differently, maybe based on there amount of musicpower. Normally I setup the max volume for each player but did that for all player to the same values. When I group different players i saw that controlling the group volume results in different shown values for the volumebars. I think the used volume seems correct, but it looks pretty strange for users that if players where at the same shown value and the group volume is changed that the shown value differs after some presses.
Would it be possible that the volumebars stay in sync? That would make it much easier for the user to get all players to the same volume level. That way it's a kind of press, press, ah ok now they seem the same.

Thanks for the feedback.
If only the decibel scale was linear... your suggestion would be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye but wouldn't necessarily be easier to control as volume scales are logarithmic. It definitely would not be an accurate representation of the volume level of the player.
Behind the scenes, we spend a lot of time reviewing and re-reviewing the volume control to have the most accurate depiction yet make it manageable and easy too control. We also have to tweak and adjust and flip between log and line in what the volume slider is doing so that neither the bottom end nor top end have to much control where you have to turn it up quite a bit to hear and then have very little space to control.
What we have today, may not line up from player to player when grouped but it is accurate to what the players are doing and giving you the best control in both ends...
