    Hi Thomas

Thanks for the detailed information. Please re-rip the the CD in JRiver as there is an issue with the file. I assume you ripped it as 16/44.1 as it is a CD. Please continue to do so for the most exact copy. JRiver settings may have changed since I last used it but use the slowest, most thorough encode method.

Once completed replace the file and try again.

If the problem persists with the new file, please select Help, Send Support request so we can delve further.

Given it is always at the same spot it is most likely a problem with the file.

I followed your advices by ripping the two CDs again with FLAC codec at the lowest compression rate JRiver offers. That fixed the problem. I just wondered, why the click sound occurred when playing via BluOS natively, but not when playing via AirPlay from another app.

When I took the first CD for refilling, I discovered some scratches on its surface. That might be the reason the music file wasn‘t ripped flawlessly.

Thank your very much for your quick help.

The clicking was caused by distortion of a bad rip, not the scratch. You didn’t hear it via AirPlay because your iPhone has to downsample it to play it correctly.

    Enjoy.
